Magirus Maultier

Kit #: 72078 Preview by Christopher Benjamin - christopherb214(at)msn(dot)com

In a departure from Wespe's norm of gluing the kit parts to a sheet of paper identifying the pieces, we get all parts divided into 3 plastic baggies. This kit has approximately 59 resin pieces, 1 piece of clear film and 7 metal rods of 3 different sizes.

There is one bag labeled "SPARE PARTS" and it includes 2 track runs, jerry cans and a steering wheel and other small parts.

No warping and no flash was noted on my kit. The instruction sheet is larger, but it's not necessarily easier to understand the placement of parts due to the hand sketching of the directions.

Klockner Deutz built the Magirus A3000 which was a 3ton, 4x4 truck. About 16,000 of those were produced along with the 2ton S3000 half-track, which this kit appears to be modeled after.
