ATZ-4-131 Fuel Truck
  Kit # 72014

Continuing with the truck theme, this fuel tanker comes to us courtesy of Omega-K, a company that I believe is no longer producing kits. Some of their molds were picked up by ICM.

This truck is based on the Zil-131 truck, and many of the parts below are common to all the Zil-131 variants in the Omega-K lineup. The sprue with the fuel tank parts (lower left) is unique to this kit. Again, this is a very nicely detailed kit, though perhaps not as much so as the ZV Models truck kits. There is a little bit of flash to be cleaned up, but overall detail is very good. A common feature to all these truck kits are closed doors on the cabs; although it is certainly possible to open them up manually, it certainly won't be easy. The clear parts here are much thinner than in other truck kits, and I think they will be quite usable. Numerous markings are included, though the instructions (which are otherwise quite well done) do not show most of them. I can recognize Soviet, Russian, East German, Ukrainian, and UN markings, though there may be a couple others as well. This is a very nice kit.

Thank you very much to Maurice Metzger for providing the review kit.
