Scheunenhaus (Barn)

Kit #: DH-DA-0003 Preview by Rob Haelterman

Picture taken (with permission) from the site of MBM Models.

This set represents the front wall of a barn with mixed construction (timber frame and bricks) which would be typical for central Europe.

Inside the sturdy cardboard box you will find two main parts of resin and two smaller parts for the doors. Despite the size of the parts, casting is as good as perfect, with some minor flash to be cleaned up.

The parn is a solid part, with no interior but great detail on the outside.
The back (not shown) is smooth.

This set would allow any modeler to create a nice little, almost instant, diorama.
My only gripe about this set is that it is rather small. The section of cobblestones has difficulties to house even the smallest armor (like the Hetzer below), so it would only be suitable for the smaller AFVs (like an Sd.Kfz.222, Daimler Dingo, etc.).

The resulting diorama, where I used the S-Model Dingo, figures from Scale75 and a dog from Stenfalk.
The signpost is an old Esci/Italeri item.
