British Tanks in Africa
Review by Doug Chaltry - 26 August 2004

Including markings for eight tanks and other vehicles of British and Commonwealth forces, this is a really neat set that fills a major gap in my decal collection. The booklet contains a somewhat useful color painting of each vehicle, as well as a couple of b&w photos of some of them. There are a couple of color charts showing some typical British markings, but there is no information describing how to decipher them. I understand that British WW II markings are indeed difficult to decipher, but a little more information here would have been appreciated. Overall, the decals are done to a much higher quality than the references.

Speaking of the decals, they are printed very thin, and with sharp and vivid colors. Overall the registration is very good, with the exception of the markings for the 46th Infantry Division (the trees). There are several choices here, and with the help of some additional reference material, these will go a long way in allowing you to build one of many vehicles from the North African campaign.
