Deutsche Schwere gepanzerte Infanterie 1946 angreifend mit Sturmgewehr 44

Kit #: Set 29 Preview by Rob Haelterman

This set consist of three resin figures, depicting fantasy German Wehrmacht troops dressed in something that looks like body armor (hence the "gepanzerte" in the name of the set) and wearing breathing devices. The characteristic German Stahlhelm is kept, however.
Weapons seem to be a Sturmgewehr (confirmed by the name of the set) with silencer and a small pistol/SMG per soldier. Two are handling the former and one the latter.
My first impression was that these figures looked very tall. Measurement, however, showed they were 1m86 from boot to helmet, which would be spot on for the average male.

Casting quality is very good, with only slivers of flash to be removed.

The look of these figures is very futuristic and would require a bit of imagination, but nothing that would have been technically impossible by 1946 or 1947 if the Waffenamt had set its mind to it, especially if the war had evolved into a more urban scenario.
