Opel Blitz

Manufacturer: ESCI; Late war conversion.

This is an ESCI Opel Blitz modified to a late-war version: no rear fenders, runningboard replaced with a simple step, smaller headlights and the Opel-Blitz emblem on the grill dispensed with. Canvas cover is scratchbuilt. The figure is a 1/72 Preiser paratrooper, noticebly smaller in scale than ESCI's 1/72 German paratroopers. The model represents a truck in Russia, 1944, and camouflaged with mud over the dunkelgelb.
