Deutsche Schwere gepanzerte Infanterie 1946 angreifend mit schwere Waffen

Kit #: Set 30 Preview by Rob Haelterman

This set consist of two resin figures, depicting fantasy German Wehrmacht troops dressed in something that looks like body armor (hence the "gepanzerte" in the name of the set) and wearing breathing devices. The characteristic German Stahlhelm is kept, however.
Weapons seem to be an MG42 with ammo supply carried in a backpack (as seen on the Minigun) and an evolved, reloadable version of the Panzerfaust (probably the planned Panzerfaust 250), which looks very similar to the early Russian RPG-2.
The figures also carry a small sidearm.

My first impression was that these figures looked very tall. Measurement, however, showed they were 1m84 and 1m93 from boot to helmet, which would not be be too unreasonable for purpose bred Arians.

Casting quality is very good, with only slivers of flash to be removed.

Conclusion

The look of these figures is very futuristic and would require a bit of imagination, but nothing that would have been technically impossible by 1946 or 1947 if the Waffenamt had set its mind to it, especially if the war had evolved into a more urban scenario.
