This is the old ESCI kit (also released under the ESCI/Revell, ESCI/Ertl and Italeri labels) with modifications:
- Gun barrel replaced with copper tube.
- Turret hatch taken from DML kit, attached in open position and DML F-34 gun breach and seats installed inside.
- Sink holes in turret sides filled in and smoothed. Cast turret textured with backing soda on white glue to give a rough cast texture before painting.
- No unit marking or number as was common in 1942-1943.
- Casting seam on turret made from styrene strip.
- Tracks are styrene link & length from an UM kit.
- Lift rings on turret made from fine wire.
Looking at the photos I note that I missed some small pits and rough spots on the hull!
I am tempted to fix them and take new pictures but I know I have moved on and will never
get around to doing it!
